The tower of pisa bending more .

ROME: The tower of Pisa is not so much inclined.

After two decades of efforts to straighten it, the engineers say that the famous Tuscan bell tower has been recovered more than four centimeters (1.57 inches) and in better structural health than prediction.

The ANSA News Agency quoted the advocacy of the international committee of leaning, Nunjiante Skiglia, said that progressive recovery of inclination is good news, the overall structural health of the tower is more important.

After the reopening of the 12th Century Tower in public in 2001, the staff closed for more than a decade to reduce their deficiency. After using hundreds of tons of lead counterweights on the basis and after removing the soil from the foundation, the engineers initially applied 17-inch shaved to the lean.
