Baitadi District Police Office Spokesperson, Janak Dhami, informed that the vaginal swab of Bhagirathi Bhatta has been sent to the National Forensic Science Laboratory, Kathmandu, for testing four days after her body was found in the community forest.
Police have suspect that 17-year-old Bhatta was strangulated to death after being sexually assaulted.
Further investigation into the case is going on by securing all the evidence collected from the incident site," Dhami said. Samples including the vaginal swab have been collected for DNA test.
